Kelli Biferie Hastings is a third-generation Floridian and graduate of the University of Florida College of Law.
Ms. Hastings is board certified in workers’ compensation. She is also an experienced appellate attorney, with over 100 appeals as lead counsel. In addition, she is a well-versed civil trial litigator, having worked for several years as staff counsel for a large insurance company defending personal injury claims.
For over ten years she concentrated her practice on workers' compensation cases and writing and arguing workers' compensation appeals, with a focus on the special statutes related to first responders, like her late father.
The focus of Ms. Hastings law practice has shifted in recent years, after family tragedy and several trips to study yoga in India changed her perspective on life and work. She left her career as a partner in a large law firm to become a solo practitioner and spend more time writing, teaching, and being home with family.
Ms. Hastings is available for consultation in relation to all types of legal drafting, including appeals, wills, contracts, agreements, Qualified Income Trusts, and deeds. She also offers consultations for trial and appellate strategy, and is available for writing and speaking engagements. For more information, check out the "Practice Areas" link.
